Dear Friends,

The Nineteenth Annual Meeting of EURAPS will be held May 29-31, 2008 on the beautiful island of Madeira or, as our local host Prof. Horacio Costa calls it: "the Floating Garden".

On Thursday May 29, 2008, we will start with the Refresher Course on Bariatric Surgery and Body Contouring, which will be free for all attendants.

Thursday evening, the Welcome reception will take place on the terrace of the Pestana Casino Park Hotel in Funchal overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Our Gala Dinner on Friday evening will be organized in the panoramic banquet hall of the same hotel, designed by the famous Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer.
The two-day Scientific Meeting will be held in the Convention Centre adjacent to the Casino Park Hotel.
Finally, on Saturday evening May 31, 2008, we will have a Farewell Party near the sea with a buffet, music, dance and surprises.

As always, the main aim for this Meeting is to excel in quality and to bring together the best of plastic surgery. Therefore we would like to invite you to submit abstracts for this important meeting now.

Abstracts can only be submitted online and the abstract forms can be found on the Euraps website: under Meetings, Meeting 2008, Abstracts.
Do read the guidelines carefully and bear in mind that only one abstract per person will be accepted. However, you can always have more abstracts submitted by other members of your team or department.

Remember that the deadline for abstract submission is December 1, 2007!
You will be notified whether or not your abstract is accepted by the end of January 2008.

I am convinced the Madeira 2008 EURAPS Meeting will again be a memorable one and, together with our local host Prof. Horacio Costa and his staff, I am looking forward to welcoming all of you in Funchal!

Don't come alone this time but bring your family as well to enjoy and relax on this unique island with its extraordinary natural beauty and mild climate.

Best regards,

Moshe Kon, MD, PhD
