Dear colleagues and friends,

The preliminary program of the Annual Meeting in Manchester, May 27 – 29, 2010 is now available on the website. The Scientific Program Committee, Dominique Erni, Moustapha Hamdi, Rafic Kuzbari, Benoit Lengele and Gus McGrouther, worked hard to compile an interesting program for everyone. Out of 347 abstracts we selected 80 papers by carefully examining the scores of our 18 reviewers in order to select the best innovative and interesting papers.

During the Opening Ceremony, Simon Kay, the past President of BAPRAS, will address you about the official affiliation of EURAPS with JPRAS!
The panel will be dealing with “Tricks and pitfalls in post bariatric surgery” and it will be organized by our president Erkki Tukiainen.

Note that he customary Refresher Course which precedes EURAPS meetings will be replaced by an exciting One Day Symposium on “How Science and Industry will affect your practice – now!”  The day will commence with invited lectures by outstanding speakers of international reputation, invited by our local host Gus McGrouther and followed by presentations by the industry dealing with innovations and technology which is coming on stream.

It is time now to plan your trip to Manchester and attend the first EURAPS meeting in the UK! The registration form and hotel information are available on our website.
