Newsletter – October 2015

Dear Colleagues and Friends

The 26th edition of the EURAPS Annual Meeting was a great success.
During the Scientific Committee meeting we had in Rome last February, we put together an excellent scientific program, including Case Reports for the first time, as well as a Panel, moderated by our President Moshe Kon, on ‘Complications in Rhinoplasty’. Attendance to the meeting was very good, and our local host Ken Stewart, with his team, provided us with an excellent organization of both the Scientific Sessions and the Social Program.

It was a pleasure to see many young participants, who brought new energy to the Research Council, and a lot of input and efforts are already streamed towards the next edition in Bruxelles 2016. In fact, I’m happy to inform you that this year we will have an extraordinary research event, as for the first time in history the two organizations European Plastic Surgery Research Council (EPSRC) and EURAPS Research Council (ERC), will unite on a joint meeting. This will provide an unprecedented broad platform for communication between researchers from all corners of Europe, and far beyond. Along the usual scientific program, carefully selected keynote speakers will spice up this research meeting, as well as a variety of workshops in microsurgery and facial injectables.

Last but not least, submissions to the upcoming 27th EURAPS Annual Meeting in Bruxelles are now open. Like every year, we invite you to prepare abstracts for extended papers and case reports in all areas of plastic surgery, and submit them according to the usual categories: Research, Clinical (General, Cleft/Cranio, Hand/Nerve, Microsurgery), and Aesthetic. Please carefully read the Abstract Submission Guidelines, to make sure every criterion is respected upon submission, and remember that the deadline is 1st December 2015.

Should you have any doubts or questions, please do not hesitate in contacting the Central Office. I very much look forward to receiving your abstracts and contributions to EURAPS high scientific standard.
